U3K(under Rs 3000) digital instrument cluster.
Overview
U3K is a digital instrument cluster that is more advanced and upmarket than analog instrument clusters. Hence the requirement to add it to upcoming Maruti car models.
My "ROLE"
I was the sole desiger working on the project. My concept design was selected in the brainstorming phase for this project. I refined the design in collaboration with msil engineers and developer Visteon. Held meetings with japanese heads to get their feedback.
The "WHAT"
U3K instrument cluster will be part of the entry level cars in the Maruti Suzuki portfolio. For Eg Wagon r that has sold 30+ lakhs units till date. Hence, it will be impacting many lives and cars.
The "WHY"
U3K is a digital instrument cluster that is functionally and visually more advanced than analog instrument clusters. Hence, the requirement to add it to upcoming entry level Maruti suzuki car models which are having analog clusters.
The "LEARNINGS"
Working on the hardware aswell as the ui of the instrument cluster. Understanding the constraints in the projects and maximising results and Incorporating feedback from senior management.
